Identity, how we define who we are, is a hot topic these days. We identify ourselves and others by likes, dislikes, gender, skin color, nationality, etc. You name it. Belonging is so important - third level up, in the psychological section, on Maslow's pyramid of needs. Belonging also means stuff, like these things belong to me, they are mine.
Imagine if you will this incident at an average sized regional airport. Two bags of the exact color, size and shape come down the conveyor belt at baggage claim. Two ladies step up to the belt at the same time, each grabbing one of the small, square, soft shell black bags that were traveling together. They go their separate ways until one of the ladies needs something from her checked bag. She looks at the bag tag and her heart sinks! Panic quickly rises up as she realizes she has the wrong bag and someone else has her bag! The ladies hurriedly meet up at the ticket counter of the airline, and exchange bags while breathing a collective sigh of relief. With a slight chuckle at the mishap, a quick prayer of thanksgiving is made and the ladies go about their business. Crisis averted. This drama could have been avoided altogether if proper inspection had been made in the first place by correctly identifying their luggage when removing it from the baggage claim belt.
When things are unknown they are labeled unidentified. Current news stories abound of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) formerly identified by the term UFO. The Twilight Zone television show had many episodes devoted to flying saucers and space aliens from 1959 to 1964.
The search for life on other planets was strongly connected to American pop culture in the 1970s. The same time period Star Wars became an instant success. The sudden and unexplained disappearance of various craft, mysteries of the Bermuda Triangle, made people curious as well. Why this sudden resurgence of interest in the secular supernatural? Unclassified reports are being released this month by both the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the Secretary of Defense to provide required information to Congressional committees.

Obama said, in a recent podcast interview with Ezra Klein, “Because my entire politics is premised on the fact that we are these tiny organisms on this little speck floating in the middle of space.” He added “I would hope that the knowledge that there were aliens out there would solidify people’s sense that what we have in common is a little more important.”
Obama does, in fact, believe that the sightings are genuine and may indicate alien origins. In another recent television appearance on the Late Late Show, Obama said as much:
“What is true, and I’m actually being serious here, is that there are, there’s footage and records of objects in the skies, that we don’t know exactly what they are. We can’t explain how they moved, their trajectory. They did not have an easily explainable pattern. And so, you know, I think that people still take seriously trying to investigate and figure out what that is.”
Then there is the transhumanist movement, trying to fabricate a human/computer cyborg, making Terminator and other science fiction beings a reality. An enhanced life form with no death as the elevated condition of a new humanity. Robots, AI. Whatever. Look it up for yourself!
People in the scientific community with absolutely no morals or ethical compass have been creating human/animal hybrids for some time. Again referencing the 70s, I was terrified after watching The Island of Dr. Moreau movie. I can still see Michael York, (John the Baptist from Jesus of Nazareth, a made for tv movie from same year 1977), struggling against being transformed into a mutant. Add to this unholy mix the current fascination with the occult and promotion of Satanism all over the world. The increased disrespect toward all Judeo-Christian sacred writings, beliefs, ethics, values and icons. The sheer volume of violence in the streets of many cities. Never in our nation’s history has this wanton idiocy run rampant. Peaceful patriot protestors are not the ones causing the devastating decline of Portland, Oregon. Global Anti-Semitism is shocking! Now we know how the Holocaust came about because we are watching the tendrils of terror growing and gripping before our very eyes.
What has happened to our society and how did it go downhill so fast?! Apparently this degeneration has been around awhile, on the down low, like weeds hiding underground to avoid by plucked out, roots and all. Obviously the time has come for the exposure of wickedness. I have been dismayed for many years by the destruction of our language, borders and culture. I am infuriated at the deprecation of human dignity on many levels, especially with the outrageously immodest clothing being pushed on young ladies. And the willingness of the masses to go along with it!
It is demonic activity, people, plain and simple! They want to deceive humanity with their paranormal activity and perversion of God’s plan for righteous living. Our pain is their pleasure. Wickedness in the world described in Genesis 6:1-2 and found in Ephesians 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Many won’t believe in God or His Son Jesus Christ yet they eagerly accept the invitation to dine at the evil buffet of death being dished out by the devil. If they would only open their eyes, ears, minds and hearts to receive the gift of Life, Love and Salvation instead!
So what do we do now? We hold on to the FAITH we were given by the grace of GOD the FATHER, through the work of JESUS CHRIST and activated by baptism in the HOLY SPIRIT.
We remember what we BELIEVE. Genesis 1:26-27 and James 3:9 confirm the truth that we are made in His image and remember WHOSE we are. Jesus paid the price for our redemption. We belong to Christ. Ephesians 2:13-15, 1 Corinthians 3:23 And you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s. 1 John 4:4 You are of God, little children.
We respond to His call. Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
We conform to the image of His Son. Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
2 Corinthians 3:18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
It was all written in Scripture before-hand and spoken ahead of time so that we may believe it when it happens. The birth pangs are increasing with frequency and intensity. The signs of His return for His bride are evident.
Proverbs 30:4 Who has ascended into heaven, or descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son’s name, if you know? I know! Yahweh and Yeshua!
Luke 18:8 I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?
Luke 21:36 Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things (tribulations) that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.
Hallelujah! Praise the LORD. We have been Identified as belonging to Him and He will claim His own!
